Keeping my day job

After months of work, agony and throwing things this is as far as I've got.

The pink stuff is sand, the yellow stuff - nail polish, the white stuff - plaster of paris, and the shiny metal thing is the result.

The result?  A rather rough casting of a '75' in a diamond shape in aluminium.  For a certain tree flavoured mother.

More to come on this.  Method proven, but the tools could use some work.

Top left: mould; top right: mould cover with pouring and air holes; bottom left: mould assembled (metal gets poured in hole); bottom right: ta-daa!
