Wedge

I collected some logs from a neighbour's Holm Oak. It's heavy hard wood and splits roughly with splinters. 

I tried to make a still life out of the elements of my work - axe, wedge, gloves, wood - in the fading light.

I was listening all the while to Radio 5 reporting the hostage situation in Paris.
