King of the Boxes

A left over reminder of the Tour de France coming to Yorkshire. The phone boxes outside the old post office in Leeds (now restaurants) are painted in the leader jersey colours. I like the red polka dot one best.

The Tour coming to Leeds was fantastic to witness and surreal at the same time. I was working on the day, just in case any IT went down. We needed to be sure we could get to them. This meant we could wonder about a bit and soak up the atmosphere. We visited the start line for a while then hung around the tour buses. The atmosphere was amazing. Outside the Omega Pharma coach we watched Cavendish and the team get prepared. My friend even got interviewed by Australian TV. L took the kids to Harewood House to watch the official start and they all had a great day. Cav ended up crashing out at the finish which was a shame!

It's Friday. Work was okay. Settling in slowly.

Just enjoyed watching Zombieland.

Anything else?... oh yes, It's blowing a gale outside. I've been in the loft just to check the tile situation. Currently all present and correct. Will have another check tomorrow.
