Promise in winter

A rhody waiting to bloom, the leaves are green, the blooms are nice and tight to protect the delicate insides until the right time.  It's a great promise on this cold, grey and wet day here in Washington.  

Taken at a friend's house, the tree in her backyard.  Will have to make sure to get photos as the bush blooms in this coming summer.
