Soft and Solid, Light and Dark

A convergence of contrasts is what I saw when I glanced in the direction of our local museum this afternoon. 

The solid brick building in dark silhouette stood out sharply against the light blue sky covered in what appear to be alto cumulus clouds? (chime in please, if I'm wrong!)
