Quod oculus meus videt

Last Light, Stonnall Five

A few years ago I lusted after a Fuji GX617 panoramic film camera.  They were used by landscape photographers including David Noton and Colin Prior and were heavyweight tools,  At the time they were one of the few ways of capturing panoramic images.  The frame ratio, 6x17 is a classic and in my opinion very easy on the eye when scanning an image.

I have reproduced this frame ratio in this image and am happy to publish it on Blipfoto since the change in website.  This is something I would never have done previously as the panoramic image was completely lost in old layout.  It was extremely gusty and cold on the hill. Typically towards dusk on days like this most of the clouds had disappeared from the sky.

ps this is not a stitch, rather it is a crop of the original file.

pps Anyone using maps to place images there is now a search facility (top right of the screen), Yippee!
