Inclement Incoming

Whilst Euan was doing a bit of bag-packing fund-raising at a nearby superstore, I headed off for a wander around the blustery roads. Ended up on walking and shooting on an eerily deserted Clackmannanshire Bridge for a while. That, and the access road north and south of it, had been closed earlier in the day because of the high winds, but one fortunate (unfortunate?) truck driver had a lucky escape as his vehicle blew over and ended up on its side against the barrier to the River Forth below. I arrived just as the mangled wreckage was being removed, with the truck carrying it being shielded by another against the wind. Had the road completely to myself after that.

Stopped off for a view over Alloa on the road back, listening to the roar of the crowd as the local team played to host to Rangers in the mighty Recreation Park (it's called something else nowadays, sponsored by some dodgy sounding company, but it'll always be the Recs), and watching the Ochil Hills slowly disappear under another approaching snow flurry . Hope they were all wrapped up well down in the town, 'cause three minutes after I captured this there was a total white out and the wind picked up something frightening. Ran for cover behind the old Tower.

Staying in tonight. All cosy 'n that.
