Putting away the noodles

My Australian colleague uses the expression 'ironed to the bed' to mean flat out, asleep or simply unable to peel oneself off the mattress. I rarely admit it, but this afternoon I was tired, full of headache and empty of energy, and 'ironed to the bed' for about three hours. No one starved, died of boredom, killed each other or missed me that much. Which is good!

We also went swimming.
