Lines of Lanes

Getting three kids to swim lessons after school is a tad bit of a challenge, but the swim school wins points this year as all my kids' lanes happened to be lined up.

Evan broke his toe on New Years Day, but we thought we'd let him give it a try anyway.  He worked so hard on his flutter kicks - trying to do well enough to get bumped up to big brother's level - that he irritated the foot and had to sit out before the end.  Of course this happened while I had Mia in the locker room getting ready.

Owen was not thrilled about taking lessons again, but once he's in the pool, he enjoys it.  For him I feel it's more about strength and just keeping up his skills over the long winter.  Plus, who doesn't want to be in a warm pool when it's below zero outside?
