Gumnuts

Gumnuts are the hard woody fruit of Eucalyptus trees. We are surrounded by them! (Gumnuts and various types of Gum trees.) At one time our house block had 7 gum trees on it from the days when it was a horse grazing paddock. Sadly we had to let these trees all go as they were huge, mostly too close to the house, and quite out of place. The final straw and the final tree was when a branch fell and destroyed the neighbour's shade house.
