Mai Chau Valley

We have left Mai Chau and this view back towards the town looked very nice as we climbed the pass out of the valley.

At home, the water in those fields would have been called floods but here they are simply paddy fields where they are planting the new rice crop to take advantage of the lunar cycle.

It has hardly stopped raining for the past 48 hours but it is now dry at last although very overcast.  We haven't seen the sun for over week since we were in Beijing.

We are at the airport in Hanoi waiting for our flight to Huey where we hope it will be a little warmer.

Despite the weather we are having a great time
