Tequila Sunrise

Saturday.

After a long day yesterday, it was good to finally reach our destination.
All went smoothly. Even arriving at our cabin to find our luggage waiting for us.
The evening entertainment was a song and dance performance called Piano Man. Featuring songs made famous by rock/pop pianists. From Jerry Lee Lewis to Alicia Keys. Even bursting into Chas and Dave midway.
The same over exuberant entertainers led the over exuberant guests in singing a dancing by the poolside.
And yes, I did join in.
Holidays are for doing something different from the norm, and this definitely not my norm.
Adaptable that's me

Saturday saw our first port of call, Gran Canaria, arriving before we woke.
It took a while for the sun to actually get real heat, but it was a darn sight better than Ellon.
There are certainly plenty of sights to see here without getting of the ship.
The band, playing by the pool at lunchtime as we enjoy our Martini (June) and tequila sunrise (me), are Philipinos wearing Hawian shirts and flat caps and playing wonderful early sixties guitar instrumentals. A girl sits by the pool in her swimming costume but still wearing her bra. A man is in one of the jacuzzis almost fully clothed. Long shorts and a t-shirt.
Meanwhile at breakfast there was a not young lady in a onsie.
On a discounting note, my iPad is not charging and all the books I have downloaded for holiday reading will be unread.
