Keeping the liquid out.

No ferry across Loch Fyne today because of the weather so Cathleen and I (and Marie Claire)  had to drive to and from Tarbert for what turned out to be a very well attended, lively and constructive Constituency Association meeting which included a contribution by the three people contesting to be the SNP Westminster candidate for Argyll & Bute.

However the weather was grim all the way there, whilst we were there and all the way back.   There is water everywhere and this shot of sandbags propped against the wall of the hotel next to where we have our meetings (waiting not to get into the pub but to keep the liquid out ) says it all.

My meeting and surgery tomorrow on Gigha has already been cancelled as there is little prospect of the ferry running.    The rain is also forecast to turn to snow, which would in fact be preferable given the continuous dampness and the flooded fields and roads.
