Leaf or feather?

I found this little brooch when I went shopping in Hampden in Baltimore in December. My poor niece was dragged into the shop that had a range of secondhand books, pictures, ornaments and jewelry. This was in the $10 box - so pricey! I loved the shape of it. When packing to come home I put it somewhere 'safe' and I have just found it hidden inside a pair of rolled up socks (clean). I did wonder where I had left it.
Why this blip? I forgot to blip earlier in the day so this unexpected find became the blip.
