Winter In Dubai

Well, it's the indoor ski slope in Mall of the Emirates, and it's kept at a nice cool -3C all year round in fact. So it looks much the same as this when it's the middle of the summer and getting on for 50C outside.
I was at the Mall of the Emirates this evening to watch the final part of the Hobbit, which I thought was pretty good. It's a while since I read the book but I'm not sure that I remember it being quite the same as the film.
I also have to say that I don't like the way that Legolas is portrayed in the films, he appears to be some kind of superhero with the ability to leap from one feat of balance and dexterity to the next without seeming to even get a little out of breath.
