Distant

Myles is anything but distant, but his home is quite distant from where he is now, hence his name.  He came on a sort of puppy underground railroad in a recreational vehicle with a bunch of other puppies being dropped off to pre-determined adopters along the northeast United States.  He was frightened and insecure but it was love at first sight for him and Sumner who had picked him out of an online line-up.  I was a close second but the men in the family had to win him over with roast beef and steak and chicken.  Now five years later, he has adjusted and he is content and secure, the gentlest of dogs.
