Shame you can't smell this shot

Completing the Christmas Cake series with this shot showing the cut cake. I posted the finished uncut cake on 22nd December, so here's the update. The smell of the cake is just divine, it's been a wrench not having a piece every day but you have to discipline yourself or else it would go too quickly and go too quickly around your waist or wherever else excess calories go.

Taking this shot was really the only opportunity for an interesting blip today. Pretty much all grey and drizzly all day. Went swimming early on and was back by 10.30 and in front of the computer for most of the rest of the day. Prison work, shopping, catching up, referee reports, all full on but quite a considerable amount achieved.

We did manage to get out in the evening for a walk - a good 4 miles all enclosed in wet weather gear. We are more than fanatical about this walking lark. The evenings seem long if we don't go out. Mind you we don't always have to spend the evening in front of the TV - we could be more usefully employed.
