New growth

Syzygium 'Cascade' shows off its new, weeping growth.
As a hybrid between S.luehmannii and S.wilsonii Syzyigum ‘Cascade’ is a rounded, bushy, large shrub with weeping foliage in brilliant shades of red, pink and apple-green. During Summer, gold-tipped, pink pom-pom clustered flowers form at the ends of the drooping branches. The flowers are followed by edible pink fruit with a delicate clove flavour. ‘Cascade’ is a vigorous and hardy plant with continual flushes of brightly coloured new foliage growth that will liven up a garden or landscape.  It is an ideal choice for informal screening, garden features and as tub specimens.  It can be crown-lifted to become a small tree and is attractive to honey-eaters.
