A Matthew A Day

Ladder

Was a bit apprehensive this morning, as Matthew has been awkward with daddy, and was unsurprised to find he absolutely howled when I left him with the childminder this morning.  Only to get a text under 10 minutes later saying he was now fine - and an email shortly later with some hilarious pictures of him "smiling" for the camera.  They went to the commerical soft play for toddlers at the Rugby Club today, as the local children's centre has started charging for their messy play sessions - and for some reason while families pay £2 per family childminders have to pay £2 per child - even for the baby, even if he's asleep!  Not impressed!

Matthew was very unimpressed at the soft play at first, and apparently had a complete meltdown for a good 15 minutes or more.  But oddly had a really good time once he calmed down.  Goodness knows what's going on in there sometimes!  Here he is climbing up the ladder to the slide - which he was enjoying pushing toy cars down.  He had a good lunch, a good nap, ate loads of snacks, enjoyed playing with the older boys and watching their real model trains (a TGV, cool!), and had a pretty good evening when he got in with us too.  Goodness knows what tomorrow will bring.

Me I goofed and made the mistake of updating a script just before I left the office, only to realise by bumping into a colleague in the corridor on the way out that it had gone wrong, so I've fixed the data back up and scratched my head a bit and reverted to the old version and hopefully it'll run fine overnight.  I'll test it properly tomorrow!
