Six black ducklings and a mamma hen!

This hen, in the foreground, aptly called Friday - because that's the day she hatched from an egg - has sat on and hatched six duck eggs and is now boss of the hen/duck coup where she lives with these six, six-week old black ducklings! She squawkes at them and they jump to attention! Quite amazing. They belong to my friends who have a regular menagerie going on at their place. Dogs, chooks. Cats, and ducklings on site and a couple of calves and six heifers off-site! You never know what you'll find when you go visiting! :)
