Doors in Oslo # 66 - Pastel de Nata

A beautiful empire door from 1840. The building was the office to the publisher Niels Christian Tønsberg and later in 1915 the sign above the door came up. It is the logo for Sigurd Stave Mashine store that produced machines for mines and so on.

For 4 months ago the couple Mathias Jæger og Daniel Barradas started the cafe Pastel de Nata. Mathias is a German HR-manager that fell in love with Daniel from Portugal. In  Norway Mathias missed Portuguese cakes, and started to bake them himself. He did that so well that people told him to follow his passion. In a very short the cafe was a reality. All the cakes and pastries are produced every day fresh in the cafe. If you wonder what Mathias missed most when away from Portugal, you will find the answer in the name of the cafe. Pastel de Nata! Yummy! High recommended!
