a lifetime burning

Reaching for the light

Another attempt at black and white today.  We had a period of reasonable weather for an hour or two at lunchtime today, which gave me the chance to race out to capture today's blip.

The sky had been cloudless just 20 minutes before I took this shot.  It suddenly became so much more interesting (well at least from my perspective).

I particularly liked the contrast between the branches of the tree in winter, stripped of its foliage, striving towards the light, in the shadow of a particularly gruesome example of modern high rise architecture.  This is now the Bristol Radisson Blu hotel, but was in a former life time the Bristol and West Building.
