Pentlands from Edinburgh Castle Esplanade

We took a couple of friends into the castle today to look around. They live in Dublin and M had never been whereas B had been on a school trip many years ago. Now it's mid January Edinburgh is quite quiet with only a few tourists around. As a result the castle was really pleasant to look around and you didn't get hassled. The best views of the day were from the esplanade looking to the Pentlands between the snow showers.
