The Cement Works.

Not a good start today. A limousin cow calved during the night,and the calf must have been at the door all night with the howling wind blowing . End result,one dead calf ,one unhappy cow,an even more unhappy Farmerboab,and another calf to twin on ! Looked in tonight,and at least she is talking to it ,so might be lucky.
Went to a Beef Group farm walk on a farm near Dunbar this afternoon. Saw a lot of good cattle. Thought yesterday was cold,but today was just as bad. Must have thin blood these days.Came away feeling a bit inferior,must try harder.Mind you they are only 275 feet above sea level. We go up to 1400feet,so totally different type of place.
This was looking down over the A1 onto the cement works and the North Sea, And you can tell how windy it was by the sideways smoke
