Ruts and braiding

Sun at last and we took the opportunity to walk the Acheninver path and assess the work required to repair erosion and improve drainage. It's all part of a project to improve paths in the area.

The smaller members of the party and their mum took a more direct approach and walked down to the beach and back again and were spared studying ditches, calverts, ruts and braiding. One of them just enjoyed jumping in the puddles.

It's a great circular walk from the Youth Hostel car park, down the burn past the hostel to the beach, along and up the hill again, back on to the road and home for coffee.
