A beautiful pale form of Iris histrio, originally collected in Syria sixteen years ago.  The indoor warmth released a lovely scent reminiscent of rose-geranium soap.

Sadly it has a plant virus.  This may not kill it but will gradually weaken the plant.  I will pollinate the flower - you can see the very pale blue pollen down the 'throat' of the flower, just above the  yellow marking.  Seed for a new generation should be free of the virus.  I will quarantine the plant to avoid transmission to others.
