Cornflower

One of my favourite flowers, I know I took a lot of pictures of them last year but this is one the first of this year and I think it looks great.

Out at the City Of Bears today because we had serious work to do and that can't be done on Sundays (you're not allowed to use noisy equipment like chainsaws and stuff on Sundays here. I think that's very civilised.) So, I was chopping huge long, spiky rose branches out of the larch tree. This was not without danger, roses fight back and are not above being vindictively vicious - i have many scratches to prove it. I also cut down three dead trees (which was quite alot of fun) and shovelled a lot of sand.

It was a bit strange because, at the end, you couldn't actually tell how much work we'd done. I think I'll feel it tomorrow though.
