Flowers in January

The weather was calm and quiet, no wind, blue sky and enough breeze to dry the washing outdoors.

I had a pretty lazy day. Continued making jewellery and watched some rugby on the TV this afternoon.

Potted up some bulbs which I bought yesterday, Nerine and Ismene. Wrapped them in fleece and bubble wrap to protect them if we get frost.

A few flowers in the garden too: calendula, daisies and some early cowslip.

A few unusual birds visited the bird feeders today: greenfinch, long tailed tits and goldfinch. It's the Big Garden Birdwatch next weekend.
