Leftovers

One of the many great things about running a B&B are the leftovers. Take this morning, for example. We had five tomatoes left over, and no-one booked in tonight. Rather than waste them, Beth had them on a toasted roll with our balsamic sauce on them; delicious!

Making the sauce couldn't be easier. Just boil together equal quantities of balsamic vinegar and sugar, adding a few chilli flakes to taste and a pinch of salt and pepper. 

When it has all melted together, thicken with a little cornflour and cold water, boiling until it's as thick as you want it.
