Trouble at mill

I've lived in Huntingdon, on and off, for about 15 years, but today went on a guided tour of the town. It's amazing how much you simply don't know about the place you live.

The building here, Riverside Mill, was built in mid 19th century by Charles Veasey as an oil cake factory, before being used as a military clothing depot in the First World War. It became a hosiery mill in 1924, operating until 1972, and is now apartments.

I looked at living there once and thought 'these are nice' without a thought of the history behind the building. I'll try not to do that again.
