Highest BlipMeet in England Today

With BlackrodLad (on my left) on the summit of England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike.

Today was the Old County Tops fell race, a jolly jaunt over the "old County" tops of Helvellyn (Westmorland), Scafell Pike (Cumberland) and Coniston Old Man (Lancashire). Starting and finishing in Great Langdale the route is about 37 miles (60Km) and includes over 10000 feet (3050M) of climbing.

After the snow and ice on Helvellyn this morning conditions and the weather "faired up" as they say in that part of the world and we finished in just over 10 and a half hours to get one of the most cherished finisher's t-shirts in fell racing.
