Happy New Year & Hello San Francisco!

Another long drive today, along the northern part of the pacific coast highway, via the grave of John Steinbeck in Salinas (no chance to see the ultimate road trip vehicle - his camper van from 'Travels with Charley' called Rocinante, which is on display in the local museum - closed for New years day...), we really had to crush that gas pedal to make it to the Golden Gate Bridge before we had to hand in our car. But we made it! 1018 mile after we picked it up :)
