My colleague and I are very excited by our new date stamp - look how clear that date is...!? The boss put the wrong ink in the old one or something and now it just produces a kind of horrible mess. We've been dragging people away from the self-serve machine to insist they get their books stamped just so we've got an excuse to use it...

Just to complete the sadness, that's my favourite marker pen down there at the bottom. I didn't know they still made these until I found this the other week in Wright's the Printers. I'm going to have to invest in a couple in case they now decide to actually discontinue them...
