Scrabster Excavations

"Nordic Giant" is the name of this floating digger currently working at the harbour - it was noisy but fascinating to watch. It was digging up sludge from the sea bed and tipping it into a flat barge that came alongside shortly after we arrived. I found out from a local that this process goes for 24 hrs a day and for 6 weeks and it is costing £6m !!! I've added a link to the website that has more information if anyone is interested.
