Something slightly better than bittersweet.

It occurs to me today how simply nice it is to be able to go to a cafe, order a very large coffee, and sit outside with a new Franzen without having to carry a broken computer, its power cable (because it has to be plugged in all the time), and its cooling platform (because it overheats all the time).

Not especially thrilled to need to go $500 further in debt for a new one, see, but today, for an hour or two on a deck mere feet from the water, it didn't seem to matter.
