Before the Rain

This was taken at Merewether beach this morning just before it started to rain.  A very grey day not just because of the rain.  A man set fire to himself in the reception of the floor below us at work today.  It is occupied by an Insurance company.  It makes me wonder what emotion he must have felt to do an act like that.  The building was evacuated, the fire brigade took several hours to clear the smoke from the building but a number of people have been severely shaken.  The police were there when he set fire to himself and declared it a crime scene.  The man was carried down the fire stairs and treated by ambulance office and I understand he is in a serious condition.

In a flippant piece of other news the beaches briefly re-opened as Bruce (as he is now known who I called Jaws) has swum away to terrorise somewhere else.  He hasn’t been seen for two days near our beaches.  There was however a filmed encounter by some fisherman of a Great White which apparently eyed them off in their tinny and nudged it.  I don’t know whether it was a fisherman’s tail or what but there is footage being shown on the news.  The beaches (excepting Nobbys and Stockton) are closed again but this time because of high seas.
