YOUNG MEN

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday!

The M4 was surprisingly clear all the way to Hammersmith where we parked on a side street. We then took the tube to King's Cross and then on to Angel where we met Florence for a very long lunch.

Later we walked to Sadler's Wells where we were introduced to some of The Company and we did a bit of celebrity spotting. Clive almost tripped over Wayne Sleep whom we have met beofre when Florence took part in a masterclass with him many years ago.

We also saw the actor Nicky Henson (father of Keaton, the composer of the score) and we sat behind an actress we couldn't put a name to.

The production was simply heart wrenching. Keaton's score was passionate and emotive and I was a bit of a blubbering wreck come the end.

As it was the last performance of the run, the company and hangers on had a gathering. Clive and I decided to leave Flo to it a trek home.

Balletboyz will tour Young Men next year. Here is a taste of the score.
