Purton Hulks

A very peaceful spot along the River Severn where between 50 and 60 years ago a number of old boats were towed. The idea was that they would help to strengthen the eroding banks of the river as they decayed. Now the hulks as they are known are picturesquely rotting slowly into the ground. It is a photographers haven.
