Emotional range

The Monday night film club is trying to reestablish itself in the calendar and, with middleman's frequent insistence on going to the best movies without us, less likely films are being thrown into the mix.

So - American Sniper... while not walk out bad (Mood Indigo - why did I stay...) it is definitely (piss-)poor and I am astonished that it has got the praise it has. It brings nothing original to the genre, either in terms of the impact of war on individuals or with regard to the action itself. All involved have done much much better.
