Hollow Rock Under Ice

Hollow Rock is another popular photography subject.  It is basically a large rock with a hollowed out cave running through it.  The hollow is pretty much covered with ice now. A gorgeous setting any time of year.  I used a long exposure to soften the waves and show the fog on the water on this cold morning.  We drove up to Hollow Rock for sunrise even though we thought the clouds would be too thick to see the sun.  I  like the soft muted colors just as well.  If you look carefully you can see just a hint of aqua in the ice, the beautiful color of Lake Superior water.
We debated whether to go home today or not, but have decided to continue to relax, read, watch movies and go home tomorrow.
