Well connected

Reading like a who's who of UK and American kings and queens of harmony, tonight's Roaming Roots Review in the beautiful Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow was simply sublime.

Curating the evening was the talented, charming and properly drop dead gorgeous Roddy Hart, with his brilliant band, the Lonesome Fire - or Team Handsome as I call them. He must be well connected, his line up of musician chums gets better every year. This year we had the Pierces, Ruth Moody, the Parkingtons and Grant Lee Phillips, all from across the pond. And some great homegrown talent too. It's my highlight of the festival. And our blipchum Jettygirlx's son was just fantastic on saxophone!

Celtic Connections is an annual cultural festival in Glasgow and brings a whole bunch of great musicians together. Great venues and great ticket prices too, make for the holy trinity for music lovers.

Go see Roddy and Team Handsome if you get a chance. Even without their entourage, they are a magnificent band.
