So why aren't you here?

We have had a few great days. Now that we have left Fiord land the weather is a lot warmer. We spent Wednesday in Wanaka, a lovely little village on Lake Wanaka, M did a 20k walk to get into form for the Milford track and l went up onto the West Wanaka sheep station up in the hills above the lake. The station is 50,000 acres and farms sheep, beef cattle and deer.
Today we have travelled to Lake Tekapo. This photo shows Aoraki (Mount Cook) which is NZ highest mountain. I took this photo from the roadside across Lake Pukaki. The astonishing colour is caused by tiny, tiny particles of schist in the water. 25 °and not a cloud in the sky.
