Skipper

I've blipped these tiny little butterflies before - they are very common, but I don't think I've got such a detailed image before.  The light was pretty well perfect.

I was going to  blip the Monarch chrysalis, but there were really annoying shadows across the body.  But I did spot something very interesting.

It's quite warm out there today, and the pupa is in a fairly exposed place.  It was covered in tiny droplets of water - and I haven't been watering.  Is it possible that they can sweat in order to cool down?

I'll be sure to blip it tomorrow I think, when the light is right, because you can see fascinating detail.  Well, fascinating to me, anyhow.
