Peekaboo

Miles, Kat, Emma and myself went to CERES this morning to try and get them some bikes. CERES is an inner-city environmental park that offers sustainability courses, has a market and makes a pretty good coffee. It's set on an old landfill site by the creek, and I love the impact of their eco friendly buildings all sited underneath the huge electrical pylons.

The offer a scheme where people donate bikes (in any state), and then you can buy them (in any state) for little money. Included in the price are the (donated) parts and guidance needed to get the bike back on the road. This would have been ideal for Kat and Emma, but unfortunately it's not on this week because of Australia Day weekend... so they'll have to get them on Gumtree instead!

Gina and I went to see Strictly Ballroom at Her Majesty's Theatre tonight, as a birthday present for Gina (she's a trained latin and ballroom dancer... bet I've not mentioned that before on blip!). It was hilarious and a really great night!
