Formal occasions

Today was Speech Day at DBS. This is basically prize giving and the Gr 12 commencement ceremony all in one. We spend almost all day in the hall, with a lengthy lunch inbetween two sessions. The afternoon session is very formal. All teachers wear gowns and hoods. All boys in full uniform, including blazers. Gr 12s in gowns and sash according to their house colour. Delta thus also in jacket and tie.
