Hogmanay at Epcot

Up and out early-ish this morning to go to the outlet mall for some more shopping, and then later in the afternoon we headed along to Disney's Epcot park. We wanted to stay and see the fireworks, so we purposely didn't go too early (so that the kids would manage to stay later). Of course, what we didn't realise is that the 31st December is one of the busiest days at Disney, and that there would be folk everywhere (there were even folk trying to catch some sleep inside some of the attractions, no doubt waiting for the celebrations at midnight).

We had some FastPasses booked, but other than the Finding Nemo ride, they were probably a bit too scary for the kids, so we decided to skip them. We didn't manage to get too far round the different countries either, as there were too many people to get round at a decent pace. So, after a quick trip to Canada and the UK, we headed back to a more central location and watched the early fireworks display (which the kids enjoyed). After the fireworks, we headed off home, as the kids had had enough by that point.

Back at the villa, we ended up staying up until midnight and managed to see the Disney parks' fireworks displays from the back garden, and they were pretty awesome! Some of the neighbours were also setting off fireworks, so between those and the Disney ones, we had a good show to ring in the new year!
