a kaleidoscope of light

Having spent 3 busy days working in Barcelona I managed a photo only in 2 of them (one back blipped for yesterday) Today I had just an hour to kill before leaving for the airport. I chose to visit Barcelona's world famous Sagrada Família. It left me in awe a magnificent cathedral, like no other I have ever seen and is not even finished !

The light just bounces around magnificent columns and shapes.

They say it will finally be finished by 2026 nearly 150 years after work began.
That will make it ready in time for the centenary of the death of architect Antoni Gaudí, who famously joked that his client, God, was in no hurry to see it finished.
Since then 65 per cent of the work has been completed and now, with new masonry techniques speeding up the work, builders say the Almighty will only have to wait another 13 years to see its final spires and main façade.

The locals doubt it will ever be finished as it relies on private money.
