Cambuskenneth Abbey ...

The bell tower of the Abbey featured in my very first blip on 02:01:15. Today is the turn of the ancient archway, its little cemetery and the Ochil Hills beyond. The Abbey was founded by King David I in 1140 but had long since fallen into disrepair. It remains a popular tourist destination, though is normally pretty quiet. Will be catching a train through to Glasgow tonight for a visit to Celtic Connections. This wonderful music festival lights up Glasgow every January. Now in its 21st year it's a real highlight http://www.celticconnections.com.
