Tusker

Broke the long journey from the tea plantations to Colombo with a visit to the elephant orphanage at Pinnewela. Tuskers such as this one are fairly rare (only 2% of Asian elephants grow long tusks, apparently) and are valued for their use on ceremonial occasions.
