Grey Wagtail

It is the RSPB Great Garden Birdwatch weekend. I decided to do mine this morning but there was an intruder in the top of my hawthorn tree - next door's cat! I went out armed with my water pistol but it was away as I opened the door - it's learning! There were very few birds here today - they were probably hiding away and chuckling at me in the window with my bins!

This afternoon I went for a walk around the village and this beautiful grey wagtail was on the castle pool. I only had my bridge camera with me but it did a credible job with the typical bobbing of the wagtail.
